So much for the Giants' prosperity. It didn't even come close to the first practice of the week.
It looks like Big Blue will be without Kayvon Thibodeau for at least the next few weeks.
The young defensive end underwent wrist surgery Wednesday morning and is listed on the week-to-week list, coach Brian Daboll said.
It's unclear how long Thibodeau, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, will be sidelined.
Daboll did not provide a timeline or say whether Injured Reserve is an option. It is not believed to be a season-ending injury.
According to NFL Network, the injury was a scaphoid fracture in the wrist. The navicular bone is one of eight small bones in the wrist. Helps coordinate wrist joint movement and stability.
Thibodeau, 23, has two sacks and eight solo tackles this season.

For the time being, Thibodeau will be replaced by Azeez Ojulari.
There was some promising injury news for the Giants on Wednesday.
Daboll said Malik Nabors (concussion) is feeling better and will do some work on the wing in practice. He has not yet come out of concussion protocol.
Meanwhile, running back Devin Singletary is scheduled to practice after missing Sunday's win over the Seahawks with a groin injury.
