Giuliani set to appear in New York City courtroom after missing deadline to turn over assets

Rudy Giuliani will appear in a New York City court on Thursday in connection with his defamation lawsuit, where he is expected to explain why he has not yet handed over his property as part of a judgment.

U.S. District Judge Lewis after plaintiffs Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea “Shay” Moss told the court that Giuliani had vacated their apartment when their representatives visited the property. – Mr. Lehman issued this order on Monday.

Mr. Lehman had originally set an Oct. 29 deadline for Mr. Giuliani to hand over the assets to Mr. Freeman and Mr. Moss's representatives. The judge then ordered Giuliani and his attorney to appear in court on Thursday. The status report meeting was originally scheduled to be held over the phone, but was later changed to an in-person meeting.

Lawyers for Mr. Freeman and Mr. Moss wrote in a letter filed with the court on Monday that representatives for the plaintiffs visited Mr. Giuliani's apartment on October 31st after being interviewed the day before. Upon arrival, we discovered that the apartment had been vacant land four weeks earlier.

“The apartment was emptied of all contents except for a few rugs, a dining room table, some small pieces of furniture and an inexpensive mural, and a few small items such as dishes and stereo equipment.” is written in the application.

Freeman and Moss filed another letter Tuesday after receiving reports that Giuliani was driving a Mercedes-Benz in Palm Beach, Fla., a week earlier, according to court documents filed. was ordered to be handed over to the plaintiff.

U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell had already issued a default judgment against Freeman and Moss in August.
