Glenn Beck describes his experience discussing Antifa with the FBI as ‘surreal’

Antifa Designation Sparks Media Pushback

Following President Trump’s designation of Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization, there seems to be a concerted effort within mainstream media to downplay its existence. Many prominent figures from both media and politics, like Jimmy Kimmel and CNN’s Erin Burnett, have posited that Antifa is merely a fictional construct, a kind of scare tactic employed by the political right against leftist movements.

Despite this, there are warnings about a genuine and concerning network linked to Antifa. Recently, one commentator shared insights about funding channels and support systems that aid such organizations.

After airing an episode detailing these connections, the commentator received an unexpected phone call from the FBI on a Saturday. “Glenn, the director wants to send some agents over to talk to you,” he remembers being told.

Before long, three FBI agents were in his living room for a two-hour discussion, a moment he described as both surreal and enlightening.

“This administration and the current FBI leadership appear willing to explore the depths of such issues, unlike past administrations,” he reflected, expressing concern over missed opportunities in previous years.

He conveyed a serious warning for anyone even tangentially connected to Antifa, saying, “I’m very concerned. The FBI is extremely serious.”

He expressed gratitude towards Trump and the FBI, feeling that this marked a significant step forward.

Labeling the media’s dismissal of Antifa as akin to denying the existence of Al Qaeda, he criticized the reasoning behind this narrative—namely, that Antifa lacks a central office, thereby rendering it non-existent. “This is a misleading argument,” he claimed, suggesting that the decentralized structure of Antifa could make it more dangerous.

Yet, some maintain that Antifa poses no real threat, which raises questions about their motives. “They know it’s not accurate and they’re trying to mislead people,” he added.
