Glenn Beck gives a disturbing alert: ‘This is the latest nuclear threat’

Concerns Over Rare Earth Mineral Supply

With the recent ceasefire between Israel and Hamas offering a moment of calm, Glenn Beck of Blaze Media cautions that we should remain vigilant. He feels that underlying issues are brewing, particularly regarding rare earth elements. These materials are essential for various technologies such as smartphones, electric vehicles, and military defense systems.

Glenn highlights the troubling fact that due to decades of poor policies, China now commands about 80% of the global supply chain for these minerals. He fears that their current actions—tightening control over the supply—pose a serious threat to the West, as they’re signaling a potential halt in exports of these critical components.

“If this supply issue escalates, our ability to protect ourselves could be severely compromised,” Beck warns.

Interestingly, he notes a recent move by the Pentagon, which issued a $1 billion emergency order for these same minerals. “This is out of the ordinary,” he states, suggesting it’s a sign that the military is bracing for a possible crisis.

Moreover, JPMorgan Chase has unveiled a $1.5 trillion investment plan aimed at bolstering security and resilience, focusing on areas like artificial intelligence and defense manufacturing rather than small businesses or community funding. “It’s as though the Pentagon and Wall Street are uniting to fortify the economy,” Glenn explains.

In another significant development, the Dutch government has taken steps to nationalize a semiconductor manufacturer owned by China in an effort to curb Chinese influence. “This move illustrates the growing concern over competition in the semiconductor field,” he adds.

Beck sees these events—across different continents—as indistinct signals of a larger shift. “When you take a step back to look at the entire picture, the implications become clear,” he suggests, mentioning that the landscape of free markets and trade is gradually changing, ostensibly in the name of security.

He argues that there’s a growing partnership between governments, technology, and resources, all vying for dominance in the AI sector. “This is akin to a modern arms race, but I’d say it’s far more constraining than what we’ve seen with nuclear weapons,” Beck concludes.
