Glenn Beck presents a critical strategy to get ready for the upcoming food supply issue.

A significant drought is impacting over 61% of the contiguous 48 states, reaching levels not seen in this period since 2000. Most of the Southeast and two-thirds of the West are experiencing dryness, raising alarms about potential wildfires, water shortages, and escalating food prices.

There’s limited information on the drought’s severity, but reports highlight devastating effects on agriculture. Crops like sugarcane, rice, and peanuts are suffering, and winter wheat on the plains is left parched. Without sufficient water, many seeds won’t be able to sprout. Meanwhile, snowpack in the mountains is vanishing quickly.

Farmers are reportedly struggling and the repercussions will likely soon extend to consumers.

The spike in food prices is becoming noticeable. “Everything from beef to grains and produce is seeing steep increases. Grocery bills are rising more rapidly than many would prefer,” says Glenn.

He urges his audience to focus on fasting and prayer during this crisis.

“I’m calling on everyone to pray for rain and support our farmers, who are facing immense pressures. They’re crucial to keeping our food systems running,” he emphasizes.

Additionally, he suggests that individuals should aim to be more self-sufficient when it comes to food.

“It’s vital to store food. If you have the space, consider planting a garden this spring with any vegetables you can manage,” he encourages.

He highlights the importance of not just individual efforts but also community initiatives, like forming neighborhood gardens or stocking up when possible. This is a time to get ready.

“It’s about more than just weather or market fluctuations. We’re facing much bigger challenges,” Glenn warns.

He stresses the need for unity during this discord, urging people to come together and support one another. “This too shall pass, but it’s going to be easier if we stop pulling in opposite directions. Let’s put aside our differences and help each other. Have you noticed how food prices are rising?” he asks.

“Plant literal seeds, but also seeds of kindness and community, and prepare for the challenges ahead.”
