Glenn nurse suspended after reporting doctor's remark about Kirk

Lexi Quenzle, a 33-year-old nurse from Englewood Health in New Jersey, found herself suspended after challenging Dr. Matthew John, an overweight surgeon, over remarks he made concerning the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

According to her account, Dr. Jung seemed to endorse Kirk’s demise, stating he “deserves it” during a conversation at the nursing station, which was witnessed by a colleague and a patient on a stretcher. When Lexi reported this to the hospital administration and posted about it on her private Instagram, she was immediately suspended without pay. It seems even union representatives were urging her to look for work elsewhere.

On September 13, Lexi took legal action against Dr. Jung and others, claiming religious discrimination tied to her Christian beliefs, retaliation under the Conscientious Employee Protection Act for whistleblowing, violations of New Jersey’s discrimination laws, and a hostile work environment.

Fortunately, just two days after filing her suit, Lexi was reinstated with complete back pay, while Dr. Jung resigned from his obesity surgery position at the hospital. Nonetheless, Lexi intends to move forward with her lawsuit.

Lexi recently appeared on the Glenbeck Program, where she expressed her worries about what this situation indicates regarding the state of our healthcare system. “Imagine a patient walks in wearing a shirt endorsing Charlie Kirk, or something else the doctor finds objectionable,” she stated.

This brought Glenn to recall a moment from 1981. “I think about what Reagan said after he was shot. He was on the operating table, nearly dead… And he interrupts the doctors to say, ‘Wait a second.'” He pointed out, “That’s the mindset we should adopt.” He emphasized that anyone needing medical care is still human, regardless of differing political views.

Lexi agreed, saying, “Exactly. This is more than just politics.” Glenn praised her for her bravery, saying, “I’m so proud of you. Taking a stand like that is impressive.”
