Trump Critiques Ocasio-Cortez’s Comments on Military Actions
On Tuesday morning, Donald Trump took to social media to respond to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s recent remarks about military strikes in Iran.
Over the weekend, Ocasio-Cortez criticized Trump’s decision, calling it a significant breach of constitutional authority and a threat that could lead to long-term consequences. She expressed concerns about the impulsiveness of such actions, claiming it puts the country at risk.
In his response, Trump labeled Ocasio-Cortez as one of the “dumbest” members of Congress and pointed out that the Democrats have already attempted to undermine his administration’s successes.
He remarked, “The stupid AOC, one of the silliest people in Congress, is looking to attack me, even though the corrupt Democrats have already tried it twice.” Trump suggested that her comments stemmed from a reluctance to accept the victories achieved during his presidency.
Trump further commented on her qualifications for office, implying she fell short based on her abilities, while he criticized fellow congresswoman Ilhan Omar, calling her a constant complainer about the U.S. He said her criticisms focus on a failed system rife with crime and poverty.
Trump also mentioned Ocasio-Cortez’s home district, advising her to focus on local issues instead of her public grievances. He challenged her to contest her primary election before seeking to oppose Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Towards the end, he made a bold remark about the Democrats’ approval ratings, suggesting they had plummeted to historic lows since he began his second term.
