Google and Boeing each donated $1 million to President-elect Trump's inaugural committee, joining the list of major companies supporting the January 20 event.
“Google is pleased to support the 2025 Inauguration with a live stream on YouTube and a direct link to our homepage. We are also contributing to the inaugural committee.” Google Government Affairs & Public Policy Global Head Karan Bhatia said in an emailed statement.
Google has previously donated to other presidential inaugural funds. The company plans to help users watch the inauguration by promoting links on its homepage and on YouTube, a company spokesperson said.
Boeing confirmed a matching donation to The Hill.
“We are pleased to continue Boeing's bipartisan tradition of supporting the U.S. Presidential Inaugural Committee,” a Boeing spokesperson said in a statement emailed to The Hill on Thursday.
The airline giant has donated $1 million to each of the past three presidential inaugural committees, the company said.
Also Thursday, Chevron acknowledged the donation but did not disclose the amount.
“Chevron has a long tradition of celebrating democracy by supporting inaugural committees of both parties, and we are proud to do so again this year,” said Bill Turenne, Chevron Global Media Relations Manager. Ta.
The company joins a number of other companies, including Meta, Amazon and Uber, that have donated to Trump's inaugural fund ahead of his January 20 inauguration. Toyota and Ford are also contributing $1 million each to the fund.
In addition to contributing financially to the fund, executives including Google's Sundar Pinchay and Amazon's Jeff Bezos met with the next commander-in-chief at his Mar-a-Lago, Florida mansion.
The meeting with the donation signals a change for some companies as they seek to strengthen ties with the president-elect, who is set to take the Oval Office later this month.
