GOP lawmakers plan to propose a bill featuring Charlie Kirk on silver dollar coins.

Proposed Commemorative Coin for Charlie Kirk

Two Republican lawmakers are set to introduce legislation on Friday to create silver dollar coins in honor of Charlie Kirk.

Supported by Rep. Abe Hamadeh (R-Ariz.) and Rep. August Pfluger (R-Texas), the bill seeks to direct the Treasury to mint $400,000 worth of these silver coins in 2026. The coins will bear the inscription “well done, good and loyal servant,” along with the names of influential conservative activists. The reverse side will highlight their contributions.

Upon approval, these coins will become legal tender.

“Charlie Kirk was an American treasure,” Hamadeh stated. “It’s fitting to create a special commemorative coin in his honor.”

Since 1892, Congress has authorized over 150 commemorative coins.

If this legislation passes, Kirk would become the youngest American honored in this manner within U.S. currency, according to Hamadeh and Pfluger.

The lawmakers indicated that the coin will be minted at no cost to taxpayers, with final design approval by President Trump.

“Charlie Kirk is a conservative titan,” Pfluger remarked. “His transformational impact on millions of Americans deserves lasting recognition, placing him alongside the greatest leaders in our country. This commemorative coin cements his extraordinary legacy.”

Pfluger added, “Through Turning Point USA, Charlie has cultivated a movement that fiercely protects our nation’s core principles for future generations.”

Hamadeh expressed confidence that Kirk will be remembered as one of the most influential figures in American history, crediting him with liberating young minds from the confines of leftist ideology within academic institutions.

Kirk, aged 31, tragically lost his life on September 10 while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University.

A memorial service in Glendale, Arizona, drew tens of thousands who came to honor his legacy. High-profile government officials, including President Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, spoke at the ceremony.

Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old, has been charged with Kirk’s murder, facing allegations of aggravated murder among other offenses. Utah prosecutors are pursuing the death penalty in this case.
