MSNBC contributor Frank Figliuzzi said Monday on “Deadline” that “Republican” now means “covering Putin.”
Anchor Nicole Wallace said, “Frank, I asked Adam Schiff this question once, but it’s clear that one party can’t protect the country. Only one party can do something like Russia.” We cannot protect our country from a powerful enemy. What are the security concerns that emerge from all these stories?”
Figliuzzi said, “Well, it seems like the Republican Party right now is defending President Putin. That’s where we are. And certainly there is an inherent concern for national security.”
He added: “It was years ago that career federal prosecutors in California and Nevada and judges in both states actually conspired to find sources and discredit the FBI. That would have been funny.” Impeachment attempt against Biden. That would be hilarious. But now people seem to be chewing it out. Well, we in Congress are saying the deep state is at it again, it’s a hoax. That won’t work. But from a national security perspective, it’s painful to us that a large portion of the American people are willing to swallow whatever the Republican Party is willing to give them. ”
