Republican pollster Frank Luntz on Thursday likened members of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee to “members on Bravo.”

The chaos at Thursday night’s oversight hearing focused on insulting Attorney General Merrick Garland after he refused to turn over audio of President Biden’s meeting with Special Counsel Robert Hur. It began with comments from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.). About the appearance of fellow committee member Rep. Jasmine Crockett (Democratic Party, Texas).
When Greene asked if Democrats on the committee had hired the daughter of the judge who oversaw former President Trump’s New York hush-money case, Crockett agreed, denying any connection to Greene’s investigation.
“I don’t think you know what you’re here for,” Green said to Crockett. “I think your false eyelashes are ruining what I’m reading.”
From there, chaos erupted as Democrats expressed outrage at Greene’s actions and Greene continued to push back.
At one point, Mr. Crockett questioned whether it would be a violation of parliamentary protocol for “someone on this committee to start talking about someone’s bleach-blonde bad-looking butch body.” Her question seemed to attack Green.
Greene later said in a post on social platform “I feel disgusted by this,” he said. ”
Ms Crockett said comments about Ms Greene’s appearance showed she was “absolutely” racist.
“She’s a racist. I mean, there’s no question about that, because I don’t know if she’s ever attacked any of her colleagues,” Crockett said.
