A viral video taken on a New York City subway platform appears to show a woman yelling at police after they tell her to put away her e-cigarette and ask for her ID.
The undated footage was taken at an above-ground subway station in Brooklyn, according to the Instagram account. Shared.
In the 45-second video, the unidentified woman is seen clenching her fists, yelling, waving her hands and stomping her feet at officers.

The woman, carrying a Goyard bag worth more than $1,600 and wearing designer sneakers, repeatedly yelled expletives at two NYPD officers and told them she didn’t have identification.
The officers cannot be heard, but one of them, with his back to the camera, appears to be trying to explain something while talking and gesturing.
“What am I supposed to do if I don’t have any ID?” she asked, before clenching her fists and yelling in the officer’s face. “I don’t have any ID.”

She then began swearing at him and he pushed her back, making her yell some more.
She yelled “fucking motherf**ker” at one of the officers, and then two officers placed her hands behind her back and searched her bag.
“What the hell are you doing?” she asked, her arms bound behind her back. “Why are you doing this to me?”
One of the officers then reaches into her bag and removes something, presumably identification, before the video ends.

The video is accompanied by the text: “See what happens when you smoke an e-cigarette on a subway platform.”
The New York Police Department declined to comment.

According to the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority, travelers are prohibited from using tobacco or e-cigarettes on MTA property, including on outdoor platforms.
The penalty is a $50 fine.
