The Rev. Franklin Graham on Sunday asked people to intercede through prayer following what appeared to be a second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
“It's evening here in Rome and the news is reporting that there has been a shooting at the presidential palace. Donald Trump“It happened near Florida. We don't know the details yet, but this is a strong reminder that we need to pray for this man as we try to determine what happened,” Graham said. Written In a social media post:
Social media users responded to his post, with many telling Graham they were already on board.Pray without ceasing…” WrittenMeanwhile, another individual said“I pray to the Lord for Donald Trump's safety!!! Amen.”
“I pray for him every day,” someone else said. Commented.
Breitbart News reported Sunday that former President Trump is safe after what appears to be the second FBI assassination attempt on him this year. The first occurred in July at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a bullet struck Trump in the ear and left his face bloody as he addressed the crowd.
President Trump was playing golf at a golf course in West Palm Beach on Sunday when police authorities encountered a man who appears to have plotted to assassinate the former president.
Conflicting details and reports have circulated from official and unofficial sources, but President Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., said on social media that an AK-47 was smuggled into some bushes on the golf course.
It has also been reported that the man had also smuggled in a Go-Pro camera, presumably to film the attempt.
According to Breitbart News, the Trump campaign said Trump was safe after “gunshots were heard nearby,” but did not provide further details.
Notably, Trump and his running mate, Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), are campaigning against Vice President Kamala Harris (D) and her running mate, the far-left Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.), in the 2024 presidential election.
