Graham on Republicans supporting Harris: 'What the hell are you doing?

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R.C.) on Sunday took issue with former President Trump's “rhetoric” and questioned the Republican Party's decision to support Vice President Harris' presidential bid instead.

“To all the Republicans who support her, what the hell are you doing? You're supporting the most radical candidate in the history of American politics,” Graham told NBC News' “Meet In an interview with “The Press,'' he cited progressive policies that the vice president previously supported, including “Medicare for All'' and the Green New Deal. .

Graham called Harris the “border czar,” referring to the vice president's previous statement stressing that Harris was the last person in the room before President Biden decided to withdraw from Afghanistan. She also noted that she cast the tie-breaking vote on the Inflation Control Act.

“What are you doing? Trying to convince me that Donald Trump's words are dangerous to this country? The danger to this country is Biden and Harris' policies. Her fingerprints are all over this disaster. Yes. I can't stand this nonsense for another four years.”

“If you support her, you support four more years of trash policy,” he said. “So what on earth are you doing as a Republican celebrating something like this?”

The Hill has reached out to the Harris campaign for a response.

Early voting has already begun in major states across the country, and the interview took place several weeks before Election Day.

With the campaign in full swing, Harris has touted her strong support from Republicans in the race, which has led to the vice president taking a much more moderate stance than in 2019.

In an interview Sunday, NBC host Kristen Welker pressed Graham about warnings from Trump administration officials who characterized the former president as a threat to the republic. She specifically asked about President Trump's Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Army veteran Mark Milley. General Milley recently told prominent journalist Bob Woodward that President Trump is “a fascist through and through.” According to his latest book.

Graham responded to Milley's comments in an interview, saying, “General Milley, you're entitled to your opinion, but I'm not afraid of Donald Trump.” “I'm scared of what's going on in the world today. If you want to keep the world hot, vote for her.”
