Alvaisa's wife, Teresa, for nearly 40 years, saw it unfold while waiting in the car with her two children, According to Khou 11.

Alvaisa was taken to the hospital by a medical helicopter and later died. According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, at the last moments of his life, Alvaisa made a sign of the cross and began praying.
