‘Great Majority’ of Union Workers ‘Will Not Vote’ for Biden

United Auto Workers (UAW) President Sean Fein says the “vast majority” of U.S. auto industry union members “will not vote” for President Joe Biden over former Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Ta.

“Look, let's be clear about this: The vast majority of our members will not vote for President Biden. Yes, some will. But that's the reality,” Fein told Neil Cavuto. .

The vast majority of our members are going to vote with their paychecks, and they're going to vote for an economy that works for them.they're going to vote for a president — if you look at these two presidents, the choice of who stands with the working class, who stands with the workers, who stands with the billionaire class, and that's his base. is very clear. Fein's comments come as the UAW stands against Trump in his re-election bid this year, despite the White House's green energy policies that have decimated the U.S. auto industry with factory closures, outsourcing and the loss of millions of jobs. The election was held shortly after he announced his support for Biden.

Biden's record on trade and China similarly stood in stark contrast to the concerns of U.S. autoworkers.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, for example, has made it clear that the Biden administration is “not seeking to decouple from China.” At the same time, China now leads the world as the largest exporter of automobiles, in part due to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s control of the electric vehicle (EV) supply chain.

This year, Chinese automakers hope to flood the U.S. market with cheap, subsidized EVs and sell them to Americans.

The UAW's support for Biden comes as members warn that Biden's green energy policies, including an EV mandate, could “ruin us” and bring “poverty wages” to the U.S. auto industry. It was about.

Meanwhile, President Trump has vowed to repeal Biden's EV mandate, warning U.S. autoworkers that their jobs will soon be lost under his administration's disastrous green energy commitment. I warned you.

“I don't care if you're the United Auto Workers or what standard of auto workers in which state you are, they're going to destroy your business,” Trump said in October. said. “In two years there won't be any jobs. I'm going to bring the jobs back. I'm going to bring auto manufacturing back to our country.”

“Tell your union leaders…tell them not to support the Democrats who are going to put you out of business,” Trump said. “You're going to lose your job.”

Mr. Trump's economic nationalist platform has made him a candidate for unions at a time when other Republican candidates have wasted opportunities to win over working and middle-class union households because of their unpopular, economic liberal positions. I've been fighting for votes.

In 2020, President Trump won In states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, about 4 in 10 union households are a significant faction.
