Burglarized Home of Late NASCAR Driver Greg Biffle

Authorities reported that Greg Biffle’s North Carolina home was burglarized weeks after the tragic plane crash that claimed his life and six others. This incident occurred in Mooresville, with the burglary being reported on January 8, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Darren Campbell indicated that it appears someone forced their way into the safe within Biffle’s home. Along with firearms and memorabilia, the burglars made off with approximately $30,000 in cash and a backpack.

At the time of the break-in, no one was home. The last time the property was secure was noted as the afternoon of January 7, per the incident report. So far, no suspects have been identified in connection with the crime.

Investigation is ongoing, with authorities awaiting digital evidence that may shed more light on the case.

It’s worth noting that Biffle, his wife, their two children, and three other individuals were tragically onboard a business jet when it crashed in North Carolina on December 18, resulting in the loss of all lives involved. The jet, a Cessna C550, reportedly went down just short of the runway at Statesville airport, igniting a significant fire. The cause of the accident remains unknown.

A memorial service for Biffle and the others lost in the crash is scheduled to take place in Charlotte this Friday.
