Gutfeld and Fallon Reminisce on Their First Meeting
On Thursday’s episode of NBC’s “The Tonight Show,” Greg Gutfeld from Fox News shared a humorous account of how he first met fellow host Jimmy Fallon. After a warm greeting, Gutfeld playfully stated, “I’ve regained my memories.”
“This is funny—it’s not the first time we’ve met,” Fallon responded. Gutfeld quickly affirmed, saying that amidst their busy careers, such encounters can be forgotten.
Gutfeld brought up an earlier meeting, recalling an evening spent at Hell’s Kitchen, a bar owned by a mutual friend named Tracy about 15 years ago. He joked about the bar’s ambiance, suggesting it seemed like a spot for clandestine operations.
Fallon responded, “I remember that! You brought beer, and Tracy made me pay for my own.” Gutfeld nodded, adding, “Tracy is notoriously cheap!”
As they continued reminiscing, Gutfeld described a lively moment where Fallon charged at him like a playful dog. They ended up wrestling, and during the chaos, Fallon admonished Gutfeld for smoking a cigarette, which he quickly threw away.
In a funny twist, Gutfeld later revealed that Fallon reappeared shortly after with a new pack of cigarettes for him, prompting laughter from both the audience and Fallon, who humorously acknowledged his actions.
As the conversation wrapped up, Gutfeld expressed his joy in sharing these memories with Fallon. “I’m really happy to finally tell you!” he said. Fallon agreed, confirming that every detail Gutfeld recounted was indeed accurate.
They also touched upon Gutfeld’s Fox Nation game show, where quarantined contestants have to differentiate between real and fake news—fun in a time when staying informed is critical.
