Earlier this week in Maryland, a brave driver confronted a gun-wielding carjacker and was able to fight back with his bare hands.
Anne Arundel County Police Department said Around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man brandishing a firearm approached a 32-year-old man and demanded his car keys at the Marathon gas station in the 5700 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park. Brooklyn Park is about 20 minutes south of Baltimore.

Police said the victim initially responded, but then quickly lunged at the suspect, causing him to fall backwards and then the suspect's gun to fire.
The bullet struck the windshield of the victim's car, police said, adding that the suspect then fled the scene on the back of a black moped driven by another unidentified person.
Police said officers searched the area but did not find the suspect, adding that the victim did not report any injuries.
