Gwyneth Paltrow’s son, Moses Martin, had a unique experience attending the premiere of her latest film. He didn’t quite enjoy it, to say the least.
In a recent chat, Paltrow revealed that Moses, her 19-year-old son, was not ready for the intimate scene involving Timothée Chalamet in the film “Marty Supreme.” She humorously remarked that it was a pretty humiliating moment for him.
While speaking at a Q&A event with Demi Moore, Paltrow shared, “Oh my god, my poor son. Can you imagine when he came to the Los Angeles premiere? He wanted to die.”
Moses is Paltrow’s younger child, whose father is the Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. They also have a daughter, Apple, who is 21. Paltrow is known for her openness about various aspects of life, including her roles as a parent and partner. However, witnessing her parents in such scenes is an entirely different experience for her.
Set in the vibrant backdrop of 1950s New York, “Marty Supreme” follows Marty Moser, played by Chalamet, who becomes fixated on his dream of becoming the world’s best table tennis player. Paltrow’s character appears in the film alongside Chalamet in scenes that might not be easy for her son to digest.
Reflecting on her career, Paltrow has shared insights about challenging moments from her past, particularly relating to her high-profile split from Martin. She mentioned during an interview that her divorce impacted her professional life significantly, particularly after what she termed a “conscious uncoupling.” She recalled, “There was a lot of harsh material in the press. The distributor was like, ‘Maybe they can’t touch this.’”
Overall, Paltrow’s remarks capture the blend of humor and awkwardness that can come with family ties, especially when it intersects with a public career.
