Haitian illegal immigrant charged with rape released back onto streets in Boston despite ICE appeals

An illegal Haitian immigrant accused of raping a developmentally disabled person was returned to his Boston community after authorities ignored Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) requests to detain him.

“Alarmingly, despite our complaints to immigration authorities, this individual was released into society by criminal court,” ICE said in a statement.

ICE said in a press release that the illegal immigrant arrived at the border in Brownsville, Texas, in December 2022 and was released with a notice to appear. ICE sources identified the man as Pierre Lucard Emile.

In September, he was arrested on charges of rape, forcible indecency, and assault against a person with developmental disabilities. ICE immediately took the illegal immigrants into custody and requested that ICE detain them so that ICE could detain them and begin deportation proceedings.

The case is the latest example of undocumented immigrants with criminal records or pending charges being released onto the streets under sanctuary policies. In November, Fox reported how an illegal Honduran alien charged with rape, kidnapping and assault was released onto the streets of Virginia despite being detained by ICE.
