Former United Nations ambassador and former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley urged all delegates to next week’s Republican National Convention to release their support for former President Trump.

“The nominating convention is a time for Republican unity,” Haley said in a statement Tuesday. “I call on delegates to support Donald Trump in Milwaukee next week.”

Haley, who was Trump’s final challenger for the 2024 Republican nomination before abandoning her bid for the White House four months ago, charged in a statement that “Joe Biden is incapable of serving a second term and Kamala Harris would be a disaster for America.”

“We need a president who will hold our enemies accountable, secure our borders, reduce our debt and get our economy back on track,” she said.

After months of silence, Haley reveals who she’ll vote for in the presidential election

Haley announced she would stop campaigning at the White House on March 6, the day after Trump won 14 of the Republican Party’s 15 nominating races on Super Tuesday.

When she dropped out of the race, Haley made it clear she would continue to speak out, and even after dropping out, she continued to win up to 20% of the vote in Republican presidential primaries.

Haley has said she will vote for Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

In late May, Haley, in her first public comments since announcing her 2024 presidential candidacy, said she would vote for Trump.

“Trump is not perfect on these policies, I have made that clear many times, but Biden is a disaster, so I’m voting for Trump,” Haley said.

Haley does not plan to attend the party convention in Milwaukee next week, aides told Fox News.

“She wasn’t invited, and she’s OK with that,” said Haley aide Cheney Denton. “Trump deserves the convention he wants. She has made it clear she will be voting for Trump and wishes him the best.”
