Haley voters almost twice as likely to vote for Biden than Trump: Poll

Supporters of former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley are far more likely to vote for President Biden than former President Trump in November, according to a report. Emerson College Poll It was released on Thursday.

The poll found 63% of Haley supporters back Biden after the former South Carolina governor withdrew from the Republican primary on Wednesday. According to the poll, only 27% said they would vote for Trump, while 10% were undecided.

“This race is within the poll’s margin of error and could go either way,” Emerson College Polling Executive Director Spencer Kimball said in a statement. “Biden has a 2-point lead when undecided voters are forced into a head-to-head contest. But when third-party candidates are taken into account, Trump has an almost 2-point advantage. .”

The poll also found that the economy was the most important issue for 29% of voters, followed by immigration at 20% and threats to democracy at 14%.

According to the poll, Biden’s job approval rating is 41%, with 48% of respondents disapproving.

The Emerson Poll surveyed 1,350 registered voters nationwide from March 5-6, and had a margin of error of 2.6 percentage points.
