On Friday's broadcast of HBO's “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said the past week's media blitz for 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris has included “some of the most dangerous places in advance. It included a significant number of interviews conducted in “Kiss” on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show, CBS’ “The Late Show” starring Stephen Colbert, ABC’s “The View” and more.
Maher said, “As I mentioned in my monologue, this week some sobering statistics were released for the Democratic Party with just over three weeks left in the election. This was excerpted from a column by Andrew Sullivan. And at this point in 2020, Biden has far fewer resources than Harris, but still has a 10-point lead over Trump, compared to Hillary's 6-point lead in 2016. In Pennsylvania, Biden has moved up 7 places, and in Michigan, he is tied for 8th place. [I]It seems like she has no intention of closing the deal. This week, she made headlines in the media. She appeared with Howard Stern and Stephen Colbert and on “The View.” Could I be wrong? Did it help or hurt?
