With half of the Western promised military aid to Kiev failing to arrive on time, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov expressed despair on Sunday, calling on backers to hurry to save his country from possible ruin.

He added that even though donors continue to send tens of billions of dollars worth of aid, “50% of promises are not being delivered on time.”

Umerov argued that Ukraine is being placed at an even worse position “in the calculus of war” against Russia, which the West says is increasingly building a war economy.

He said the delay in aid meant Kiev would “lose people and lose territory,” especially given Russia’s “air superiority.”

“We will do everything possible and impossible, but without timely supplies it will harm us,” he said, although others argue the contrary. I am.

As reported by Breitbart News, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and US Vice President Kamala Harris, among others, have called for the aid to pass through without obstruction.

But Vance said on the final day of the conference, an annual gathering of security and foreign policy officials, that “the problem with Ukraine… is that there is no clear end point,” adding that the He said they simply aren’t producing enough weapons to support a war. There is a possibility of an emergency occurring in Europe, the Middle East, and even East Asia.

House Speaker Mike Johnson insists he is “in no hurry” to approve the Senate’s $95.3 billion foreign aid package that includes aid to Ukraine, but the bill is in a hurry due to lack of funding and lack of aid to the United States. is being held up by Republican opponents. Border security.

Johnson said he requested a meeting with President Joe Biden several months ago about these issues and is still waiting for a chance to speak one-on-one.
