“And when you look at him, you see that he's a defeated guy. I said he's never experienced anything like this at any point in his career. You worry. What it does is the rookie quarterback lacks confidence.”
Bears interim head coach Thomas Brown believes Williams is in a “good place” mentally, despite the sacrifices all players have made this season.

“I think mentally I'm in a good place,” Brown said Tuesday. “Obviously he's frustrated, like all of us, in terms of not getting results, but his confidence hasn't wavered.”
Williams has been sacked a league-high 58 times this season and is eight away from setting the franchise record for sacks allowed.
“I think there's some bruises and bruises,” Williams said after the game, adding that he doesn't think the sack has affected him “mentally.”
