Hamas Broke Agreement on Transfer of Medicine to Hostages

An Israeli government spokesperson said on Wednesday that despite media speculation this week, a cease-fire agreement will not take place because Hamas has violated a Qatar-brokered agreement to transfer medical supplies to Israeli hostages.

National Public Diplomacy Directorate spokeswoman Ilana Stein said there would be no ceasefire because Hamas had violated past agreements, including one earlier this month to transfer medical supplies to Israeli hostages.

Israel “has not received the promised proof that the drugs have been received,” Stein told the international press. He added that Israel has no intention of abandoning its stated goals of destroying Hamas, freeing all hostages, and preventing Gaza from threatening Israel again.

There are 136 Israeli prisoners left in Gaza, some of whom are already known to have died, leading to a possible hostage trade between Israel and the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas. There has been a lot of speculation this week in Israeli and other media about the terms.

As reported by Breitbart News, the Biden administration has proposed through Egypt and Qatar that Israel and Hamas agree to a three-phase deal to end the war in exchange for the gradual release of all hostages. It has been reported.

This amounts to a loss of war for Israel, as the Israeli government will not be able to accomplish its mission of destroying Hamas's terrorist capabilities.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the deal and vowed that Israeli soldiers would not die in vain.

Israeli media then reported that Netanyahu's government had offered a two-month cessation of fighting in exchange for the release of all hostages and the release of some Palestinian terrorist prisoners, after which a return to fighting could be possible. .

Israel has also reportedly suggested that Hamas leaders, including Gaza-based Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, leave Gaza for third countries.

Hamas reportedly rejected the deal because it wanted to use the hostages to ensure a permanent ceasefire and victory in the war.

These terms have been negotiated in public through leaks to the media, so Hamas was denied While seeking a “two-state solution” to the conflict, the United Nations and the Biden administration are pressuring Israel to accept a Palestinian state at the end of the war.

There is still a chance that an agreement can be reached, especially given the intense pressure within Israel for a deal, as families of the hostages continue to lead demonstrations calling on the government to “return” them. But Hamas also has a say.
