Ismail Haniyeh, a senior leader of the terrorist organization Hamas, said Islamic leaders around the world must “hold fast” and “build on” the “victory” of October 7, heading to Gaza. He called the financial aid provided by the government a “financial crusade.'' He declared, “The time has come for Jihad of the Sword.”

He spoke at the International Union of Islamic Scholars (IUMS) conference in Doha, Qatar. broadcasted The head of the Qatar-based Hamas Politburo spoke on Al Jazeera on Tuesday about the role of Islamic scholars globally in the wake of the October 7 massacre, the worst attack on Jews since the Nazi Holocaust. .

In remarks translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which specializes in media coverage in the region, Haniyeh called on Muslims to support efforts of “resistance.”

” [Islamic] The state has an important role to play. Our scholars play a vital role in two aspects of him. The first aspect is supporting the resistance,” he said. “Brothers and sisters, the whole world is pouring weapons into this occupation. The whole world is not afraid to do so. There are air bridges, aircraft, etc. to reach the occupied territories from multiple capitals. Masu.”

“This has become a personal obligation. [Islamic] It is a duty that we must fulfill,” he added.

Discussing the concept of “verbal jihad”, Haniyeh asserted that:The time has come for Jihad of the Sword. ”

“This is a fight over Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, not a fight for the Palestinian people or Gaza or the people of Gaza,” he explained. “The people of Gaza constitute the front line trenches for defense as well as attack.”

“They're not only there to protect, but also to attack,” he added.

Calling the October 7 massacre a Palestinian attack, the Hamas leader urged academics not to “seize” the moment.

“The time has come. Oh sons of the Islamic State, oh free peoples of the world, there are rarely such historic moments. Do not let this moment slip away,” he said. . “For our country and for Islamic scholars, there are few historical moments like this.”

“Don't let this moment pass you by. If you do, you never know how many decades it will take for such a moment to come back,” he added.

Haniyeh insisted that “time is on our side,” but explained that the United States' initial international pressure to support Palestine had failed.

At the beginning of this invasion, the Americans were waving a big stick at the world, even at Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim communities in European countries — several prominent Palestinians and Arabs. He was called and said: Don't fly the Palestinian flag or do anything. But the language of the same country has also changed now. Why has it changed?Because of the [Palestinian] Solidity. Without this steadfastness, the conscience of the world would have been shattered.

He called for an expanded “victory” of genocide similar to the brutal scenes of the Holocaust during the Nazi era.

“Brethren, we must strengthen this steadfastness,” he said. “We should hold on to the victory we won on October 7th and build on that victory.”

Haniyeh also urged academics to form a delegation for both local engagement and international diplomacy, focusing on the Palestinian issue and ending the “aggression” to Gaza.

Islamic scholars can establish groups and delegations at multiple levels. These delegations will meet with government officials (senior government officials, political parties, civil society, organizations) in the countries in which they live and fulfill their obligations in their home countries.they can also lead the masses [in protests]. That's for 1 person. Secondly, [we should] Form a special delegation to meet with Arab, Islamic, and even Western heads of state. They should visit each country and talk about Palestine, Jerusalem and Gaza, and the need to stop the invasion of the Gaza Strip.

Finally, the Hamas leader labeled his operation a “financial jihad” and called for donations to the cause.

“Despite its great importance and the fact that Gaza needs all the help it can get, this is not just a humanitarian issue. This is a financial jihad,” he declared. “We should revive this principle of Islamic jurisprudence, the concept of waging jihad with your life and money.”

In October, Hamas political official Ghazi Hamad Said Lebanese television said the terrorist group intended to repeat the October 7 attack until Israel was destroyed.

In the same month, Haniya Said It says it needs the “blood” of Gaza's women, children and old people to “awaken” Palestinian resolve, and continues its practice of soliciting Palestinian sacrifices from the comforts of luxury homes in faraway Qatar.

His comments came three months after the deadliest terrorist attack in Israel's history, which involved around 3,000 terrorists. burst They entered Israel by land, sea, and air and shot and killed participants at an outdoor music festival, while going door to door hunting, torturing, shooting, and kidnapping Jewish men, women, and children in local towns. Some people did.

The massacre left more than 1,200 people dead and another 5,300 injured within the Jewish state, and at least 240 hostages of all ages were taken, nearly 140 of whom remain prisoners. The majority of victims were civilians, including dozens of American citizens.

As the brutal events unfolded, Haniya, along with other Hamas leaders, “prostrated in thanksgiving” for successfully killing and torturing hundreds of innocent people and smilingly reported on the invasion. He was photographed watching.

“Let's bow down. These images… look at the people in the new jeeps. Look. Look at the Israeli jeeps… let's do it. This is a prostration of gratitude for this victory,” Haniya said. says. “O Allah, grant your support and glory to our people and nation. Allah, Akbar! Allah, Akbar! Praise be to Allah.”

Haniya's wealth is grew rapidly Hamas's lavish lifestyle in Qatar, in contrast to Gaza's poverty, has long attracted criticism since its 2006 election victory, driven by its control over the Gaza economy and taxation of goods.

Hamas' political bureau chief Haniyeh, who once served as prime minister of the Palestinian Authority, faces accusations that she sacrificed her own people in the comfort of a luxury hotel in a far-flung Gulf state.

“Hamas is the only 'military' in history to deliberately plan operations with the aim of forcing its enemies to kill its own civilians. Its entire strategy is based on that.” I have written Colonel Richard Kemp, former commander of British forces in Afghanistan.

On the other hand, support for Hamas is more than tripled A poll last month found that more than four-fifths of Palestinian respondents approved of the terrorist organization's decision to carry out brutal attacks.

The political impact of the war is also evident in the predicted election results.

Haniya used to be called The assassination of “Arab jihadist” Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda leader and mastermind of 9/11, was “a continuation of U.S. policy based on repression and the shedding of Muslim and Arab blood,” and the Palestinian Authority is significantly more popular than President Mahmoud Abbas.
