Hamas leader, Abd al-Hadi Sabah, killed by the IDF in targeted strike

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the top Hamas commander responsible for the brutal attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7th has been killed in a targeted drone strike.

Abd al-Hadi al-Sabah, who led the infiltration of Kibbutz Nir Oz that devastated communities near the Gaza border on October 7, was killed in the Western Khan Yunis Battalion on Tuesday local time.

The IDF announced in a social media release on Tuesday that it carried out the intelligence-based attack in cooperation with the Israeli Security Agency (ISA).

Authorities say Saba is hiding in a shelter in the designated humanitarian zone of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

Abd al-Hadi Sabah was one of the terrorist leaders who invaded Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7 and led other attacks against IDF soldiers. (IDF via X)

Authorities noted that Sabah was one of the leaders of the October 7 incursion into Kibbutz Nir Oz and had led “numerous terrorist attacks against IDF forces.”

“IDF and ISA continue operations against all terrorists who took part in the brutal October 7 massacre,” the official said.

The Israel Defense Forces said it had taken “numerous steps” to reduce harm to civilians, using “precision munitions, intelligence and aerial surveillance.”
