Hamas Says Its Terrorists Upheld ‘Islamic Values’ During Murderous Attack on Israel

The terrorist group Hamas on Sunday released a report on the Oct. 7 attack on Israel, saying its fighters were true to “Islamic values” and would not commit any murderous acts if they targeted civilians. He claimed that it “happened by chance.”

In its first public report on the killing spree that started the war, Hamas said the invasion, dubbed “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood,” was a “necessary measure” against Israel's “occupation of Palestinian territory.” , stated that it is a means of ensuring Palestinian security. Hamas's 16-page report acknowledged that “there was some lapse…” and claimed that the terror operatives were true to “Islamic values,” but then quickly added that “Israel's security and military establishment… “The rapid collapse and chaos caused along the border.” This region was responsible for the high number of civilian casualties.

As reported by Breitbart News, the war began when terrorists attacked Israelis and foreigners at the Supernova music festival, killing 260 people there, and later on in the streets and in their homes.

According to official Israeli statistics, about 1,140 people died, most of them civilians.

Approximately 360 people were mowed down at the music festival, entire families were burned alive in their homes, parents were shot to death in front of their children, and children and infants were killed or taken prisoner.

All of the above is documented by extensive footage of systematic targeting of civilians, gleefully shared and celebrated by Hamas itself, as confirmed through helmet camera footage.

Volunteers identifying the victims described horrific injuries to the women's bodies, including one whose pelvis was broken and another who was shot in the chest and vagina.

Many were shot in the face and mutilated, Breitbart News reported.

Hamas terrorists captured about 250 hostages in an unprecedented attack, and Israel said about 132 remained in Gaza.

In the Hamas report, Published in both English and Arabic, it dismissed overwhelming evidence of the murderous act as “a complete lie and fabrication”.

“Avoiding harm to civilians, especially children, women and the elderly, is a religious and moral obligation of all al-Qassam Brigades fighters,” the report asserted.

“Despite the fact that the resistance lacks precision weapons, the Palestinian terrorists were keen to avoid harm to civilians,” it added.

“Furthermore, any incidents targeting civilians have occurred incidentally in the course of conflicts with occupation forces,” it added. Many of the documented civilian targets occurred out of sight of Israeli forces.

On October 7, international bodies including the United Nations and the International Criminal Court launched investigations into possible crimes against humanity committed by Hamas, lending credence to the severity of the terror group's widely documented atrocities.
