FOX News host Sean Hannity called President Biden “Jack Up Joe” on Thursday night, calling former President Trump “Jack Up Joe” after Biden delivered an “over-caffeinated” State of the Union address. It’s a stark contrast to the president’s derisive nickname, “Sleepy Joe.” He will likely be a contender in 2024.
“Tonight, America saw a very different Joe Biden. I might call him ‘Jack Up Joe,’ and that’s for charity.” Hannity said on FOX News after the speech. “His voice sounded like an overcaffeinated, angry old man.”
Mr. Biden spoke for more than an hour before a joint session of Congress, frequently railing against Republicans over issues such as abortion and border inaction, and repeatedly lambasting his predecessor, Mr. Trump, without naming him.
The president also sparred with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) over Laken Riley, a Georgia nursing student who was allegedly killed by an immigrant who entered the country illegally last month.
Hannity claimed that Biden used the speech to lay out a “radical wish list for America” and that his speech was “so overhyped and bizarre.” Unlike Biden, he joked on his post-speech show that he wasn’t going to “scream for an hour.”
The conservative commentator has long criticized the 81-year-old Biden’s age, physical and mental abilities, and his record as president. He said the State of the Union address was “so far removed from everyday jokes” that it was “scary.”
“He was yelling all night, speaking rapidly, and clearly overcompensating for his normal Joe who could barely string two sentences together,” Hannity said.
Some welcomed Biden’s energy during his annual address. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) said Mr. Biden “came out strong” in his speech.
“It’s just a knockout speech. As expected of you, Mr. President.” Posted by Murphy on Xthe platform formerly known as Twitter.
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said Biden’s performance was a “tour de force.”
“I’ve watched a lot of things, and I’ve never seen one party in such an uncomfortable position as the Republicans were last night,” Scarborough said in comments Friday. Stated. Highlighted by Mediaite.
“Because they were on the wrong side of history. They were on the wrong side of the polls. They were on the wrong side of politics. They were on the wrong side of decency.”
Trump also considered real-time reactions to Biden’s speech and Thursday night’s interview with Fox News Digital.
Trump: “He was angry, mentally confused, and misrepresented numerous facts on almost every topic he discussed.” reportedly.
“But he got through it. He was still breathing and didn’t have to be carried out in a straight jacket.” “Other than that, I think he did a terrible job.”
