Harris Bragged About Warning to Russia Not to Invade Right Before They Did

On CNN’s “Inside Politics” broadcast on Friday, Rep. Michael Waltz (R-Fla.) pointed out that Vice President and 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris had bragged about a trip to Europe she took to warn Russia not to invade Ukraine just days before it did, saying she was bragging about an incident that showed Russia ignored her and did not take her seriously.

Waltz said:[I]Her statements were so misleading that she traveled to Europe to warn Zelensky. [the] Actual CNN websiteShe traveled across Europe to send a clear message to Russia. [not] Will you take action? [they] “Russia and Putin obviously didn’t take her seriously. They’re invading, they’re selling more oil and gas than ever before into the world market through China and India, which is fueling their war machine. So this was a smokescreen. But you’re right, we’re going to keep reporting the facts.”

“I haven’t covered that, but my understanding and recollection is that she both warned Zelensky and tried to stop Russia,” host Dana Bash responded.
