Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow spoke about Vice President Kamala Harris’ shying away from the media, saying the strategy will “work” for the campaign because it will allow them “positive coverage” from the media.
During the period Interview To The Charlie Kirk ShowMarlowe noted that Harris, who is anti-Christmas and pro-open borders, picked Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), a “radical, loudmouth jerk” who wants to take guns away from people and defund the police, but has lied about his military record.
“We have a candidate, an anti-Christmas, open borders, gun confiscation and police defunding woman. She’s picked an extremist, loudmouth jerk who lies about his military record and deep ties to China. How can this candidate win? Well, the only way is to hide it,” Marlowe said.
Marlow pointed to a video of CNN’s Jim Acosta questioning Harris campaign communications director Michael Tyler about the lack of interviews and press conferences.
“I don’t think this is the first time we’ve heard this question, but the Trump campaign has also been going after the vice president for not giving enough interviews and not holding press conferences. Does it bother you to death to hold a press conference? Why isn’t she holding a press conference?” Acosta asked.
“The Vice President and Governor Walz have been busy traveling around the country since they began their campaigns, adding Governor Walz to their list of candidates, and you saw them last week traveling through battleground states, holding rallies for thousands, 10,000 here, 15,000 there,” Tyler said.
“A rally is not a press conference. Why doesn’t she have a press conference? She’s the vice president and she can answer questions. Why doesn’t she?” Acosta asked again.
Marlowe said Harris time “She didn’t even answer questions about it.”
“They’re clearly trying to avoid the media, and my fear is that it works to their advantage,” Marlow continued. “My fear is that they don’t have to talk to the media, because they’re going to get good press anyway. The media worked so hard to get Biden out, that they’re committed to getting Kamala elected whether she talks to the media or not.”
“But when CNN’s Jim Acosta suggests, ‘Can you just talk to me for a second?’ and their answer is, ‘Well, she’s having rallies,’ they think they can get away with it,” Marlow added. “They really do. They think this is a winning strategy. Remember, she hasn’t held a press conference, she hasn’t given a single interview, she hasn’t posted a single policy position online. She’s been a candidate for almost three weeks, I think more than three weeks at this point.”
in Interview With Marlow The Charlie Kirk ShowEmma Jo Morris, political editor at Breitbart News, said Harris was “running a presidential campaign without a platform,” adding that she might view her role as president as simply being a representative of the United States and intends to delegate control.
“I’m thinking about her running a presidential campaign without a policy and it’s working. And how is that happening?,” Morris said. “What I’ve come up with is, I think there are two approaches to being president: running for president and being president. The first is, like Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris, who ran for the first time in 2020, you get into the policy and you actually plan to govern and explain the policies that you’re going to govern and try to sell that to people. And then there’s the other way to run, which I think is the way Obama ran and was president, which is, ‘I don’t really care about policy. I see myself as a representative of the United States and the face of the United States.’ In that context, you’re a ‘vibe.’ You’re literally being voted for on the vibe.”
