Harris campaign unveils ad hitting Trump back over the border

Vice President Harris’ campaign on Tuesday released a new campaign video attacking former President Trump over the U.S. southern border, responding to an ad from Trump that targeted Harris on the issue.

new50 second videoHarris wants to send more Border Patrol agents, invest in technology to stop fentanyl from entering the U.S. and allocate funds to anti-human trafficking efforts, but she claims Trump has tried to block bipartisan legislation to block those bills.

“There are two choices in this election: those who will fix our broken immigration system, and those who will stop her,” the video says.

“Kamala Harris prosecuted international gang members and got them prison time. Trump is trying to avoid prison time,” he added, slamming Trump’s legal troubles.

The Trump campaign released an ad on immigration on Tuesday, a key issue in the election that Republicans are trying to attack against Harris. The ad positions Harris as the Biden administration’s “border czar,” in reference to her focus on tackling the root causes of migration in the Northern Triangle.

“After tearing up the toughest border deal in decades, Donald Trump is running on his trademark lies because his record and ‘plan’ are extreme and unpopular. As a former district attorney, attorney general and now vice president, Kamala Harris has spent her career cracking down on and prosecuting violent criminals and making communities safer, and she will do the same as President,” Harris spokesman Amar Moosa said in a statement.

Ms Harris and President Biden slammed President Trump and the Republican Party after Senate Republicans twice blocked passage of a bipartisan border bill. Ms Harris urged Republicans to oppose the bill, suggesting it could cost Mr Biden a win in an election year.
