Former Vice President Kamala Harris has given no hints about her political future despite speculating that there is a possible California governor bid in 2026.
Harris has been mostly quiet to tour the damage caused by the Eton wildfire since leaving Washington DC last month, except for a visit to Altadena, California on January 20th. .
On Thursday, the former vice president toured areas damaged by the Palisade fire and spoke with displaced people at Red Cross shelters. Speaking to reporters that same day, Harris made it clear that she is not yet ready to announce her next move.
“I was at home for two weeks and three days,” Harris said. “My plan is to get in touch with my community, get in touch with leaders and understand what I can do to support them.”
