Vice presidential nominee Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) on Fox News Channel's “Fox and Friends” on Friday responded to Vice President Kamala Harris' CNN interview by saying that Harris “doesn't have very strong convictions.”
Vance said, “This is her first interview in 40 days. Of course, she's standing alongside her fellow vice presidential candidate, but I don't think she's someone who actually knows why she believes what she says she believes. You're right. She imposed an EV mandate, which will move many American manufacturing jobs to China. She supported the movement to defund the police, which has made many cities more violent and many neighborhoods more dangerous. She's done all of these things since she's been in office, and now she's trying to run away again. I agree with you all. She should answer the tough questions of why she changed her mind. I think she answered one question yesterday, which was how she changed her mind. It was a bit of a list of words, and I think it didn't give the American people any insight into who Kamala Harris really is.”
He added: “My final point about her trying to describe her vision for change is that it's clear from what she actually said and the way she said it that she doesn't have very strong convictions. Even though I was at odds with her, I had some sympathy for her because it was clear that she wasn't entirely sure and didn't fully understand why she was saying the things she was saying. She's been coached to pretend to be a moderate. Unfortunately, she's governed as a San Francisco liberal, and because of this, Americans are poorer, the world is more chaotic, and our borders are wide open. We have to take this country in a new direction. That's why we have to elect Donald Trump.”
