Harris Refuses to Comment on All Three of Trump’s Debate Challenges

Vice President Kamala Harris refused to answer Thursday whether she accepted former President Donald Trump’s invitation to participate in three debates.

Trump on Thursday offered to debate Harris on Fox News on Sept. 4, NBC News on Sept. 10 and ABC News on Sept. 25.

Harris agreed to debate on NBC News on September 10, but Refused He declined to comment on whether he would join the remaining two.

“I’m looking forward to debating Donald Trump. The date is Sept. 10. I hear Trump is finally going to debate. I’m looking forward to it,” she said Thursday in Wayne, Michigan.

Kamala too Refused “I applaud anyone who steps up to serve their country, and I think we all should,” she said, directly addressing the “defamation” allegations against her running mate, Gov. Mike Walz.

Republicans widely criticized Harris this week for not holding unscripted media events.

“Excuse me, but what are we doing right now?” Trump asked during a news conference at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday. “She’s not doing any press conferences… She doesn’t know how to do a press conference. She’s not smart enough to do a press conference.”

Harris may have been frustrated by Trump’s comments, prompting her to schedule the interview “by the end of the month,” she said Thursday after speaking with her team. It’s unclear whether the interview will take place in the last three weeks of August or be scheduled before the end of the month.

“I’ve spoken with my team and we’re hoping to schedule an interview by the end of this month,” she said when asked when she would give her first interview since launching her presidential candidacy.

Harris has not held an unscripted press conference since entering the presidential race 18 days ago, and a longtime ally of hers told Politico’s The West Wing Playbook on Wednesday that she may continue to avoid press conferences until Labor Day, which is 25 days away.

Harris may not like unscripted events for two reasons: First, she has a penchant for rambling nonsense, and second, she seems too eager to navigate intraparty policy debates, with anonymous campaign staffers reportedly backtracking on five of her far-left policies.
