Harris Surge Is Not Just ‘Honeymoon Phase’

Radio host Charlaman the God said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that the energy of Vice President Kamala Harris, who tops the list of candidates, isn’t just “newlywed.”

Anchor Jon Karl asked, “When we sat down and talked, I think it was just six months ago — just about six months ago — you said Biden didn’t have the energy to be the lead actor. Nobody was inspired by the Democratic candidate. What about now?”

“The Democratic candidate definitely has lead actor energy, and that’s been my pet peeve from the beginning, because we know who the vice president is. We know who Kamala Harris is. She has super lead actor energy,” Charmagne said.

He continued, “I think apathy is decreasing, but if I were a Democrat, I’m not going to cleat the football yet. The job’s not done. We still have to bring this back in November. I think there’s a lot of energy. People keep calling this the honeymoon period. I don’t think it’s a honeymoon period. I think people just haven’t been full of energy within the Democratic Party for a long time.”

Charmagne added, “I think a lot of voters, whether they’re not Democrats, independents or just undecided, haven’t been passionate about anything in a long time.”
