Harris surrogate left stunned when he learns how many non-white voters supported Trump: ‘Black, brown — everything?!’

A significant number of non-white voters are supporting Donald Trump as a presidential candidate, and hip-hop radio host Charlemagne the God was apparently shocked to learn this over the weekend.

During an interview on ABC News' “This Week,” anchor Jonathan Karl asked Charlemagne, a burly Kamala Harris surrogate whose real name is Larry McKelvey, about the “demographics” of Trump's victory.

A heated exchange followed, with McKelvey incredulous that so many nonwhite voters helped put Trump back in the White House.

“Trump won one in three voters of color,” Kahl told McKelvey.

“No,” the radio host replied.

“Yes, 33%,” Carl declared.

“Really?!” Mr. McKelvey asked again.

“Yes,” Carl replied.

“When you say color, do you mean black, brown, all that?!'' McKelvey asked, and Carl nodded in the affirmative.

To his credit, despite his shock, McKelvey also discusses why non-white voters supported Trump, citing identity politics, the economy, and immigration, forcing Harris into a humiliating defeat. He seemed to understand exactly what was going on.

“I think part of it is a backlash against race and gender and identity politics, but most people just care about keeping food on the table and keeping a roof over their heads. “And I think people forget that sometimes,” he said.

In another show of liberal self-awareness, McKelvie added that he believes Democrats have “forgotten” about the working class, but Trump hasn't.

Later in the interview, Mr. Kahl asked Mr. McKelvey why he thought Mr. Trump had performed so well in liberal strongholds like Chicago and New York City.

“Because it's about the dinner table. Hey, it's literally that simple. Every day people wake up and all they want to do is have more money in their pocket and feel secure. Whether you're “I don't care if you're black, white, gay, straight, whatever your religion, those are the two things you think about every day,'' McKelvey responded. “How can I keep money in my pocket? And how can I keep it safe?”

Not only that, McKelvey accused Democrats of largely ignoring the border crisis.

“Trump says he's going to build a wall. And when?” [Republicans] I said that was a problem. [Democrats] You'll say, “No, no problem.” Let's create sanctuary cities and welcome people into our cities,' he said. “No, please don't come.”

“So it seemed like Republicans were right and Democrats were wrong,” McKelvey acknowledged.
