Harris surrogate Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo says we should ‘extinguish’ Trump ‘for good’

Harris' representative and President Biden's Secretary of Commerce Gina Raymond In an interview on Wednesday, less than two weeks after the second assassination attempt on President Trump, he called for the president to be eliminated “forever.”

In an interview on MSNBC's “Morning Joe,” Raimondo criticized former President Trump's policy positions and said she felt compelled to speak out personally ahead of the election because “the stakes are so high.” The discussion took a turn when host Mika Brzezinski asked her about Trump calling himself a “protector” of women at a rally in Pennsylvania earlier this week.

“I don't know how it happened, but we absolutely need to get out of here and get Kamala into the White House,” Raimondo responded. “I'm a woman with a 20-year-old daughter, and when I read this story and see this protector, it's infuriating, it's horrifying, it's bullshit. Not only is it wrong and false, it's disrespectful of us. We're not that stupid. We know he's lying, and we don't need this bullshit about him protecting us. We know the facts, how he feels about women…”

“This is another lie. How did this happen? Let's get rid of him for good,” she added. “We know the answers. We have an incredibly talented candidate who is honest, down to earth and open. Let's just get it done.”

Brzezinski appeared to understand the gravity of Raimondo's comments at that moment and gave her an opportunity to clarify what she meant.

“So you're saying we should vote him out?” she said.

“Let's vote him out and get him out of American politics,” Raimondo replied. “Yes, vote him out and he's gone.”

Trump blamed Democrats' “rhetoric” for leading him to be “attacked.” He told Fox News Digital that the suspect in the second assassination attempt was “acting” on “highly inflammatory words” from the left.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Chang reprimanded Raimondo for using the word “disappeared” a day after Trump revealed that Iran had briefed him on a “real, specific threat” of assassination.

“Sick and twisted: Kamala's proxies and US officials [sic] “Gina Raimondo, a senior administration official, has called for President Trump to be “permanently eliminated.” She just advertised a bounty on him. She's no different than an Iranian terrorist,” Chang said. I wrote to X.

Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspect in the second assassination attempt on President Trump, previously repeated anti-Trump remarks about Biden and Harris on his social media pages, saying that “democracy is on the ballot” this year and that Democrats “cannot lose.”

Routh posted frequently about politics and donated exclusively to Democratic candidates and causes.

Democrats, meanwhile, have repeatedly accused Trump of escalating tensions, particularly labelling him a “threat to democracy” over his response to the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
