Harris Tells Wildfire Victims to ‘Find Anything’ That Gives Them Patience

Vice President Kamala Harris has been accused of giving California wildfire victims a word salad that tried to encourage them to “find something” that would give them “perseverance” during the crisis.

“In this extremely dangerous and unprecedented crisis, as long as we can find something that gives us perseverance, it's really important that we do it,” Harris said in the video. Posted To X by RNC Research.

Harris reportedly made the remarks at the same meeting with President Joe Biden and other officials to discuss the ongoing federal response to wildfires in the Los Angeles area. During the meeting, Biden announced that wildfire victims “will receive a one-time payment of $770.” According to Go to News Nation.

In response to Harris' remarks, several people commented on how word salad will be taken “off the menu” after President-elect Donald Trump takes office.

Harris' comments come as residents in the Los Angeles area face wildfires that have led to widespread destruction, leaving many without homes and businesses.

There is the current There are three fires: the Palisades Fire, the Eaton Fire, and the Hearst Fire. The Palisades Fire, which affected approximately 23,713 acres, is 14 percent contained. The Eaton Fire, which affected 14,117 acres, is 33 percent contained. The Hearst Fire, which affected approximately 799 acres, is 97 percent contained.

CNN reported As a result of the wildfires, 24 people have reportedly died and many more are missing.

The paper also noted that more than 92,000 Los Angeles County residents are “under evacuation orders” and about 89,000 are under “evacuation advisories.”
