Harrison Ford Discusses Politics and Kamala Harris

In a recent interview released on Wednesday, actor Harrison Ford shared his thoughts on President Donald Trump’s potential second term.

He reflected on the realities of politics, stating, “In politics and life, you’re not always getting what you want, but you get what you get and you’re not upset. They teach you that in kindergarten, but they teach you to fight for what you think is right.”

Ford highlighted the challenges of finding common ground in current times. He pointed out that while there’s a struggle for unity, we can still see where common interests lie, especially when it comes to the economy.

The actor expressed his support for former Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming 2024 election, even recording a video endorsing her candidacy.

In a bold statement, Ford remarked on the country’s current political landscape, describing it as a “healthy swing to the right,” though he believes it may eventually shift back.

When asked by Variety about the future direction, Ford was candid, saying, “You’re asking people who aren’t qualified, so I don’t have the answer.”

In his video, Ford underscored Harris’s commitment to defending the rights of individuals to voice their opposition to her policies.

Harris, too, has garnered support from a number of prominent celebrities, including figures like George Clooney and Cardi B.

During the interview, when discussing Trump in relation to his desire for revenge, Ford mentioned how he managed his involvement in promoting Harris’s campaign videos, simply stating he felt “fine” about it.

Concluding his thoughts, Ford discussed his acting career and the prospect of retirement. He humorously noted the necessity for older actors to portray elderly roles, reflecting on the complexities of his profession.
