Has the Global Church Forgotten about the Palestinian Church

A polarizing topic that is attracting attention and deepening divisions around the world is the Israel-Hamas war. But has the church forgotten about its Palestinian brothers and sisters in Christ? In a recent statement, Pastor Jack Sara said:

In a heartbreaking situation like this, and in an era where voices are amplified more than ever on social media, it's hard to make sweeping statements, pick sides, pass judgment, and dismiss this entire situation as if it were It is often easy to treat it as if it were obvious. black and white. we are humans. Nothing is black or white! And with so much information, misinformation, and patently contradictory information being presented, it's hard to know what's really going on, much less know what people's intentions and motivations are. It is difficult to know what.

As believers, we need to carefully consider our stance. This is especially true when it comes to topics about which you realistically know very little. Although I was born in the Middle East and have a heart for its people, I don't know enough about it to understand the full scope of what's going on. There are many political issues and decades of history between these groups of people that are completely foreign to me. And I have absolutely no ability to make political or military decisions on behalf of Israel or Palestine.

We understand that these decisions are complex. We also know that we need to take action to protect the vulnerable and bring stability. But rather than providing “expert” analysis or passing judgment from our couches, we honor our Biblical imperatives through prayer, advocacy, and financial support for those who need it. Must be. We owe it to ourselves to remember this important overarching message. john 8: Judgment is the Lord's. God is all-knowing and sees into the hearts of all humans.

In this current conflict, there are loyal Christians on both the Palestinian and Israeli sides. They are all important to the kingdom, loved and cherished in the eyes of Christ Jesus, boldly leading others to salvation, and loving one another. A meeting with leaders of Christian ministries in Israel and Gaza showed no judgment. They prayed for each other and everyone involved on both sides. They love and care for each other.

While the rest of us are sitting in the stands of this global media amphitheater, judging and taking sides, these righteous people have no choice but to do their part, even if their country is fighting a brutal war. Despite all of this, he still sets an example of true love for all of us. Therefore, we must act fairly. These are our brothers and sisters in Christ – we feel Forgotten By churches around the world! We must love and pray for both sides. Just praying unilaterally does not mean that you are praying with all of God's heart toward the situation. Jesus Himself told us to love our enemies and persecutors. We don't have to agree with people praying for them. In fact, we are just like the rest of the world if we only show mercy and love to those who agree with us.

You've probably heard it said, “Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.” But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, What is the reward for loving those who love you so that you can become children of your Heavenly Father? Isn't that what tax collectors do too? And if you only greet your own people, what are you doing over others? Wouldn't a pagan do that? Therefore, be perfect, even as your heavenly Father is perfect.Matthew 5:43-48

Jesus is talking about love, not tolerance. In Christ, we are compelled to be biblical, practical, transformative, and loving to all. everyone. This includes not only Israeli and Palestinian victims, but also their persecutors. Jesus loves them too. And he loves his totally innocent victims just as much. God's hope is that their hearts will also change and be surrendered to Him. Just as in the case of Saul and Paul, the Lord can change any man's heart in a single miraculous moment.

It is important to note that while over 1,400 people were killed in Israel (mostly in the initial Hamas attack), the Palestinian death toll is over 11,000. Consider the following notes: Palestinian Foreign Ministry Leader Last month in Gaza:

  • 70% of Gaza residents are refugees; 30% are locals.
  • There is The remaining Christians are 800-1000. In Gaza.
  • Many people have lost their homes and are now hiding in places like churches.
  • More than 500 people were killed in the attack on Gaza Baptist Hospital.
  • More than 6,500 lives lost in the Gaza Strip alonenot including the more than 1,000 Israelis killed, and hundreds of children and women.

Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

As believers, we are called to pray with confidence, fearlessness, and perfect love, knowing that God is never surprised and sits on His throne. God is sovereign, loving, kind, and able to change anyone's heart. In faith, we come to the feet of Jesus and expect our prayers to be powerful and transformative. (2 Corinthians 10:3-4). Through this bold faith, we can pray for salvation, repentance, and miraculous dreams, visions, and encounters with the Damascus Road. In fact, God is actively doing this in the Middle East today, even among the people of Hamas.

Indeed, we must also pray for the victims. protection, protection of defective weapons/missed targets, aid to those in need, protection of life, mercy, and the supernatural for active intelligence agencies seeking to dismantle evil regimes in order to free hostages. Please seek insight. .

Finally, we can seek wisdom and divine insight. May the Lord give us discernment in the intake and output of information and reveal the truth about the situation at hand. Also, pray for Middle East ministries and support for direction in contributing to effective and righteous organizations.

Therefore, we must ask ourselves where God's heart is in all of this. What really matters? How would Jesus react to this situation? Will he sit from afar and cheer on violence, hatred and division? Of course, the Lord wants peace. all Countries. Moreover, God seeks the heart of each soul and desires to realize a personal relationship of love, intimacy, and truth. The best outcome is not peace through force, but peace through repentance.
