In June, while many in America embrace Pride Month, conservative Christians are organizing their own counter-celebrations known as “Noahic Covenant Month.”
This shift has changed the June atmosphere significantly, but whether it has succeeded in challenging the pro-LGBTQ+ narrative remains to be seen.
In a recent episode of “Relatable,” there’s a candid look at the ongoing cultural clash surrounding LGBTQ+ issues in the U.S.
Ally pointed out that the “bad news” is that some events during Pride Month are becoming increasingly provocative.
For instance, the Boston Public Library is set to host 19 drag queen storytime sessions aimed at kids, which has received backing from the office of Boston Mayor Michelle Wu. Additionally, an event called “Transperiod Pride” focuses on issues related to menstrual equity for transgender individuals.
On June 1, Strawbridge Elementary School in Haddon Township, New Jersey, organized a K-5 event titled “Pride in the Playground.” This event involved children engaging in LGBTQ-themed crafts, games, storytelling, and face painting.
Even with some brands like Target and Bud Light facing backlash, many large companies continue to participate in Pride Month. For example, the popular craft store Michaels is selling stickers with slogans such as “Protect Transgender Children” alongside graphics featuring an AR-15 and a rainbow flag.
On the brighter side, Ally noted that conservatives, particularly Christians, are increasingly and effectively pushing back against LGBTQ activism and broader cultural issues.
Referencing a recent Gallup poll, she pointed out that support for same-sex marriage has seen a decline, especially among Republicans—now at its lowest in 30 years. Furthermore, a Pew Research survey indicates that about 56% of respondents support laws limiting gender-assignment-related healthcare for minors, an increase from 46% last year.
Support for restricting gender reassignment care for minors is also rising among Democrats, with 35% now in favor of a ban, up from 26% in 2022.
Moreover, there’s growing bipartisan support for requiring that transgender athletes compete based on their biological sex.
Some Republican lawmakers are also taking measures in response to Pride Month. For example, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee recently signed a resolution declaring June “Nuclear Family Month,” underscoring a traditional family structure of one man and one woman, which he describes as “God’s design.”
Multiple states have taken action to safeguard minors from certain medical procedures. Nearly half have enacted laws preventing healthcare providers from administering puberty blockers or gender-transition surgeries to minors. In 2025, several states further strengthened these regulations and introduced penalties for violators.
Ally highlighted notable wins for the conservative side, mentioning that in January 2025, an executive order was signed prohibiting federal resources related to sex reassignment for minors under 19.
- By June 2026, 27 states had regulations for school sports participation based on biological sex.
- Recently, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton negotiated a settlement mandating the establishment of a first-of-its-kind clinic for minors at Texas Children’s Hospital.
Overall, Ally feels optimistic about the developments in the LGBTQ+ cultural debates, arguing that they reflect the importance of political engagement.
“Politics drives policy, and policy shapes lives. Christians have a role to play in these cultural struggles because it truly matters,” she asserts.
