Teenagers Arrested After Attack on Woman in Hawaii
In a troubling incident in Wahiawa, Hawaii, four teenagers were apprehended following an attack on a 21-year-old woman. The event, which has sparked outrage in the community, was recorded and shared widely.
The video shows a teen girl, Jasmine Keola, 18, harassing a woman named Carly. She instructs Carly to remove her backpack and proceeds to throw it down and slap the glasses off her face. Carly can be seen screaming and leaning against the ground as the attack intensifies.
“This is why I don’t want to take the bus anymore because I don’t want to mess with you,” Carly expressed in distress during the confrontation.
As the video progresses, other girls can be heard laughing and taunting Carly. She attempts to walk away, only to be pursued by the attackers. The situation escalates further when Carly is kicked in the head and punched while on the ground, leaving her unable to defend herself.
Witnessing the brutality, a bystander remarks with pride, “She was knocked out,” showing a disturbing lack of empathy.
Following the widespread condemnation of the violence, community members sprang into action, helping law enforcement track down the teens involved. “This was absolutely cruel. It was more than bullying; it was a pointless, evil attack,” one local resident stated, emphasizing the vulnerability of the victim due to her disability.
This incident has spurred outrage and prompted community-wide efforts to address bullying. Some locals even livestreamed their searches for the attackers on social media, with a significant audience watching the unfolding situation.
As one resident pointed out, “That’s not right. We’re not bullies. You shouldn’t bully anyone else.” The incident has raised questions about safety and support for individuals with disabilities, highlighting a need for greater awareness and action.
