A 60-year-old man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of stabbing a Wendy's employee to death and seriously injuring another in Hawaii, according to reports.

Reynaldo Cheney was charged with murder and contempt of court, according to Honolulu police arrest records.

Honolulu police said the incident happened just before 10 a.m. Sunday at a Wendy's on Farrington Highway in Nanakuli, Hawaii News Now reported.

Police said Cheney was moving furniture when a 22-year-old employee approached him and asked him to stop moving the furniture.

According to police, the interaction between the employee and the customer escalated after the suspect allegedly called the employee a derogatory name.

As the two men were arguing, a 44-year-old employee intervened and escorted the man out of the restaurant, where the argument continued.
