After Meyers’ interview, Biden said a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip was nearing and that he hoped to have it by “the end of the weekend.”

The seemingly casual comment, which has major geopolitical implications, was made during the president’s stop at an ice cream parlor near NBC’s headquarters.

“At least my national security adviser says we’re getting closer. We’re getting closer. We’re not done yet,” Biden said. “And my hope is that by next Monday there will be a ceasefire.”

Schafer shot to stardom when she starred opposite Zendaya as Jules Vaughn on HBO’s hit show Euphoria. She won numerous awards for this role, including the Shorty Award, MTV Movie & TV Award, and Dorian Award.

In seventh grade, Schaefer came out to his parents as a gay boy. Then, a year later, she was diagnosed with gender dysphoria, and she began her transition to being a transgender girl when she was in the 9th grade.

Mr. Schaefer is not the first prominent figure to participate in activities throughout New York City during the Israel-Hamas war.

Inna Vernikov, a New York City Republican city council member who represents the southern borough of Brooklyn, was arrested in October after she was found with a handgun in her pants during a pro-Palestinian rally.

Actress Susan Sarandon also joined the protests in January. At the time, more than 100 pro-Palestinian demonstrators were arrested after blocking traffic on bridges in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg.

Negotiations are underway between Israel and Hamas for a multi-week ceasefire that would allow Israel to release hostages held in Gaza by the Iranian-backed terror group in exchange for the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. It is. The proposed six-week cessation of fighting would also include allowing hundreds of trucks to deliver desperately needed aid to Gaza each day.

Negotiators have unofficially set a deadline of around March 10 for the start of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, a time when tensions between Israel and Palestine often rise.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Schaefer’s team and the NYPD for comment.
