‘He Was Fine’ Talking About Cars, Haven’t Spent Long Time with Him

On “CNN News Central” on Wednesday, Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.), in response to a question about criticism of claims made after the release of the Harr report that President Joe Biden is unfit for the presidency, said, “I haven’t seen some of the things that other people are saying, but I haven’t been with him. I haven’t been with him for an extended period of time, but I was in the White House a few weeks ago and we were talking about cars. He’s talking about cars, and he loves cars, so it was OK.” Biden should get out more.

“Congress is[wo]Hey, you’ve been questioned for months about the president’s mental health, and specifically, I remember after the Herr report came out, you told my co-host Brianna that you were upset about people being so quick to criticize President Biden’s health. [has] “Since Thursday, there has been a flurry of reports detailing the president’s missteps both in his private life and in his public life, so are you not at all concerned about his mental and physical well-being?”

Dingell responded, “That’s why I told you. He has — I’ve been with him a lot, I haven’t seen what other people are reporting. He didn’t have a good night Thursday night. I’m not taking that lightly. That’s why I told you. It can’t be one press conference. He has to continually show people he has the stamina. Everybody has bad nights. Everybody has bad days. I haven’t seen some of what other people are saying, but I haven’t been with him. I haven’t been with him long term, but I was in the White House a couple weeks ago and we were talking about cars. The guy loves cars, and he was OK. But I think he has to prove it to the American people. Not even to his donors or his colleagues. He has to prove it to the American people. He has to speak directly to the American people, work with the American people, be with the American people.”
