A tragic incident occurred during a hot air balloon festival in Mexico when a man lost his life after saving two others from a burning balloon. This horrifying accident was captured on camera, showing the man hanging precariously from the ropes of the balloon as it filled the sky with smoke and flames.
Footage shared on social media depicted him suspended above the ground, surrounded by swirling smoke against an overcast backdrop, and then the balloons transitioning into a clear blue sky. Unfortunately, the man, identified only as Lucio N., plummeted to the ground after his heroic actions.
Lucio, 40, died from injuries sustained in the fall, as confirmed by authorities. Reportedly, the chaos began when the hot air balloon ignited while Lucio and two other passengers were aboard.
During the fast-developing situation, Lucio acted bravely, managing to help the other passengers escape to safety. However, as the balloon ascended, he became entangled in its lines, which ultimately led to his tragic fall.
Emergency services transported the two survivors to a nearby hospital to treat their first-degree burns. Meanwhile, police have begun an investigation into the incident, urging balloon operators to adhere strictly to safety protocols.
