SpaceX and NASA scrubed a planned rocket launch to the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday, according to officials broadcasting live for the event.
NASA and SpaceX will have the next opportunity to send rockets into space when the launch window opens at 7:25pm on Thursday
Prior to its launch on Wednesday, Defense Secretary Pete Hegses shared a message of support for NASA's SpaceX Crew-10, highlighting the US military's prominent role in the mission.
“I want to take a little time to say we are praying for you,” Hegses said in a video posted to X.

NASA's SpaceX Crew-10 is scheduled to be released by the Kennedy Space Center at 7:48pm on Wednesday. The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will carry four crews to the ISS for a six-month residency. This mission is set to guide the much-anticipated homecoming of Barry “Butch” Willmore and Sniwilliams.

In addition to McClain and Ayers, Crew-10 also includes astronauts from Japan and Russian astronauts.

The launch on Wednesday comes after President Donald Trump asked SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to rescue astronauts who were stuck earlier than NASA planned.
Trump has repeatedly said that former President Joe Biden “abandoned” them in space.
Musk said clearly Larry Kudlow from Fox Business Early in the week: “We're going to come back.”

NASA said there would be a “handover period” on SpaceX Crew-10 before Willmore and Williams return to their home planet. They were able to return to Earth as early as Sunday.
Last week, Trump shared a special message to Willmore and Williams.
